Our firm was one of the pioneers of polyurethane used as a roofing medium. Being spray applied it forms a monolithic seal that conforms to most any building configuration. Generally white reflective coatings are applied over the polyurethane foam as a weather and U.V. barrier which is now promoted by NASA and energy star cool roof program.

The photographs are of school buildings and a public utility structure. In addition to conventional buildings foam roofing is used on anaerobic digesters for sewer treatment plants as with temperature control the plants can process more waster more economically.

Our roofing activities have been primarily confined to Utah.
One great energy waste is bare metal ductwork on roofs. Much of a heating or cooling systems capacity can be lost depending on lengths of the ducts.

Solid rocket fuels are cured at exact temperatures so the high insulating value of polyurethane foam is used on most ducts.
